There are 2 types of buyers when it comes to home thearte systems. One is the buyer intent on buying a complete package to be used immediately. These kinds of buyers have the cash, and all they want is to be able to purchase the best kind of home thearte systems that can entertain them to the fullest

The second buyer is the parts buyer. This kind of buyer may have the cash but is knowledgeable in electronic equipments and he is in the market for a home theatre systems part that will prove the right component for a home theatre system that he is setting up, part by part. The other part buyer is the guy. Who has no sufficient cash, the reason why he is buying his system on a per part basis.

Whatever your inclinations be so long as you are in the market for a home theatre system; be it a complete home theatre or just a part of the theatre system, it would be to your advantage to know that every home theatre parts can be independently procured from each other.  Aside from this, each part has its own stage of development which simply means that a complete home theatre system can have the latest technology incorporated in its audio systems, but not yet in its video system, or vice versa.

A clear demonstration of this is a home theatre systems incorporating the latest sound wizardry but still using a flat screen monitor in a box. The latest screen monitors being the very thin LCD screen technology the width size of which is just like that of a wall painting. And this screen can be hung on your wall just like your painting.

The best way in purchasing your complete home theater components, is first try to find out the latest advancement in the different parts of a home theatre system. You have 3 major parts to choose from. These major components are the audio which is represented by the speaker system, the video which is your screen and the projector or your DVD player. Try to read various products developments of these 3 parts of the home theatre components.

If you do not have access to reading materials related to these products, you can browse the web and search for the latest information.  Once you have gathered enough information you can now decide on what to prioritize- will you buy the latest LCD screen and just go for the not so latest speakers and DVD player, or will you buy the latest cutting edge sound technology available in the market and just settle for a flat screen in a box video monitor?

These decisions of course will be dependent on your preference. If you ask my opinion on this matter, I will just go for the latest thin LCD screen, because it has so far reached the latest technological advancement in video imaging presentation. Sound technology on the other hand has still many innovations to undertake thus if I will go for the latest now, tomorrow will have another new product that will incorporate a newer and better form of audio presentation
